Luscious and robust, this cello produces a brilliant resonance. Perfect for a professional soloist, the Hertel possesses a vivid tone across all four strings. It provides crisp, clear attacks on fast passages, and a complex resonance on long tones. The highs of this instrument are juicy; it procures a strong, focused sound in the louder dynamic range with the ability to diffuse into a tender, weeping softer range. The lows are powerful, decadent and vibrant, that can be eased into a syrupy, mellow softness. This instrument has a wide range of colors that an experienced player would delight in pulling from.
